Notice the pictures show a remote control with "INFLATE" and "DEFLATE" buttons. That did not come on the bed I received. The pump that came on my bed has a single button inline with the power cord. The button is labeled "PRESS FOR POWER" and must be continually pressed to run the pump. I uploaded a scan of the picture that came in my instruction sheet. There is a plastic piece on the pump itself that slides left or right for inflate or deflate. As soon as the slider is put in the deflate position air starts coming out. Of course air comes out much faster when you press the power button. I was disappointed not to get a remote control to fine tune the firmness.The bed itself is comfortable. We slept on it for 8 nights after receiving it. We deflated and rolled it up every other night. When inflating I ran the pump till the bed was pretty firm. By morning the bed had softened some. On the days we left it inflated the bed was much softer by the next night. It took about 30 seconds of pump running to firm it up again. A new full size fitted sheet set worked well with the bed. We were happy that the bed is stable and very little motion was transferred when either of us moved.

I am totally pleased with this air mattress. It was an easy set up, retained air as it should, and was actually comfortable to sleep on. So it gets a four star from me. The only reason it didnt get five was I couldn't get it folded up after use as was when received but a minor inconvience.

Inflating this bed was a snap, and i'm enjoying how comfortable it is! The depth/height is really great- its like a standard spring mattress, except way easier to set up!

I purchased this air mattress for my daughter who is away at college. She just moved into an apartment, and was sleeping on the floor, so this was definitely a step up. It arrived on time, and was easy for her to set up. She told me that it inflated quickly. I had read in reviews that it may lose air, due to expansion, but it's so easy to refill at the touch of a button, that it's a non-issue. My daughter told me that it is comfortable, and she's been sleeping on it for over a month now. So far, we are very happy with this purchase.After a few months the bed deflated, split in the seams. Was very disappointed..

I bought this for my parents to sleep on while they were visiting. In 3 days/nights of being slept on by my parents and jumped on by my daughter it has lost very little air. My parents have remarked that it is comfortable to sleep on and are also impressed that it has lost very little air. We'll see how it does by the end of the week.Update 1/16/12I decided to try the bed myself and have slept on it for several nights. It's comfortable and I haven't had to add air. This was a very good purchase and I recommend it..
